Doctor of Musical Arts, Pianist and Teacher

Dr. Miller has taught private lessons to children and adults for ten years, and lives in Austin, Texas. He is also an active soloist, performing numerous times a year in Austin, Denver, and Boulder.

Biography

Dr. Miller began piano studies at the age of 4, and had his professional debut at age 11. He attended the Interlochen Arts Camp from ages 11-16, where he received the Van Cliburn Scholarship. There, played for four years as a concerto winner, including Ravel's Concerto for the Left Hand with the World Youth Symphony Orchestra. He received international recognition at the Young Keyboard Artists Association and the Stravinsky International Piano Competition, and was a finalist in the Wurlitzer Divisiton at the Music Teacher's National Association Competition. He received his Bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, his Master's from Eastman, and Doctorate from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston.

Dr. Miller has taught privately for ten years, and has been guest artist and faculty at the Austin Waldorf School, the University of Houston, the Interlochen Arts Academy, and the Community School of the Performing Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University.
